Segen Secures Exclusive Tesla Powerwall Deal, Opens Dublin Hub

Segen Ltd., the UK’s largest distributor of renewable energy technologies, today announced a major expansion. This dual-pronged strategy targets the rapidly growing solar and energy storage markets in the Republic of Ireland (ROI) and Northern Ireland. The strategic move includes opening a new Dublin warehouse. Crucially, Segen has also been appointed as the exclusive distributor of the Tesla Powerwall home battery across both ROI and Northern Ireland for the first time.

This expansion immediately positions Segen as a crucial supplier in the Irish clean energy transition. It now offers installers and contractors the broadest and most advanced range of solar and battery solutions in the region.

Tesla Powerwall Debuts Exclusively in Ireland

Segen was selected as the exclusive distributor for the Tesla Powerwall in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is a key development for the Irish home energy market.

The highly anticipated arrival of the third-generation Tesla Powerwall provides Irish homeowners with one of the world’s most sought-after energy storage systems. Moreover, the Powerwall features an integrated inverter and a scalable design. It provides reliable, clean energy storage, which is particularly vital in rural areas where grid access and stability can be a concern.

Spencer Conday, Managing Director of Segen UK & Ireland, highlighted the timing of the launch: “The introduction of the Powerwall—alongside other leading battery energy storage solutions—comes at a pivotal time for the Irish market, where demand for reliable storage is continuing to grow rapidly.

New Dublin Logistics Hub Accelerates Solar Deployment

To accommodate this massive increase in product availability, Segen has established a high-capacity logistics operation: an 808-pallet warehouse in Dublin. This major investment is set to drastically improve supply chain efficiency for solar installers across the country.

The new Dublin hub operates in partnership with Crane Worldwide Logistics. Consequently, it will ensure swift, reliable supply of products from leading global manufacturers, addressing the industry’s need for fast and consistent material delivery.

Key logistics highlights from the new Dublin warehouse include:

  • Free Same-Day Collection: Customers can collect orders placed before 1 p.m.
  • Next-Day Delivery: Services cover approximately 90% of the Republic of Ireland via trusted logistics provider JMC.
  • Comprehensive Stock: Nearly 800 SKUs are immediately available, representing one of the largest product ranges in the ROI market.

The Most Extensive Solar and Storage Portfolio in ROI

Segen’s expanded inventory goes beyond just the Tesla Powerwall. It offers a complete suite of components needed for both residential and commercial projects. This extensive portfolio supports Irish installers in designing and deploying high-performance energy systems. Additionally, Segen’s dedicated team of local technical and sales experts back these systems.

The product range now available through the Dublin distribution centre includes:

Product CategoryFeatured Brands
Battery StorageTesla Powerwall (Exclusive), Anker SOLIX, Fox ESS, Dyness, Sunsynk, Solis
Solar Panels & InvertersHigh-performance modules and inverters from industry leaders like Solis

The company notes that this expansion is timed to support the Irish government’s commitment to the clean energy transition. Attractive subsidies and a rising demand for energy independence among homeowners and businesses drive this commitment.

Segen invites all Irish installers and contractors to an upcoming Roadshow event. The event will mark the launch and showcase the expanded product offering.
