Bologna is set to become a major international hub for intelligent urban traffic management and electric vehicle (EV) charging systems this October. On October 8th and 9th, BolognaFiere will host two significant events: “Traffic,” the first edition of the trade fair dedicated to traffic management, advanced mobility, and smart infrastructure, running concurrently with “E-Charge 2025,” the third edition of the international trade fair for Electric Vehicle Charging technologies and services. Organized by A151, this combined initiative also incorporates several specialized, in-depth events to create a comprehensive industry platform.
A Comprehensive B2B Gathering in Italy
Marco Pinetti, Director of A151, highlighted the strategic importance of this unique collaboration. “Holding Traffic and E-Charge simultaneously, together with these other important scheduled events, will create the first major B2B trade fair hub on urban traffic technology and charging systems for electric mobility in Italy,” Pinetti explained. He described the event as “unmissable,” offering professionals and experts a prime opportunity to discover the latest market technologies, foster networking, and develop new business ventures with key industry stakeholders. Pinetti also noted high expectations for the co-located MCS Megawatt Day and The EV Charging General States, anticipating them to be key forums for leading Italian and European players.
Key Events and Industry Participants
Beyond the main trade fairs, the hub will feature:
- MCS Megawatt Day: The first Italian conference focusing on high-power charging systems.
- The EV Charging General States: A vital summit for stakeholders across the electric vehicle charging sector.
- E-Bus Europe: A dedicated area exploring the electric bus industry, technology, and market.
With approximately 100 exhibitors expected, the events will showcase leading companies. These include TrafficLab and Dahua for Traffic 2025, alongside Plus International and Kempower for E-Charge 2025. Gruppo D’Auria and Assytech will present innovations within the E-Bus Europe 2025 area. The comprehensive program also features 15 conferences and round tables addressing current industry topics. MCS Megawatt Day will specifically delve into new High Power Charging (HPC) and Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS), the evolution of traditional fuel stations into EV charging hubs, and the integration of stationary batteries. Meanwhile, The EV Charging General States will cover technological innovations, distribution networks, industry standards, and regulations across its various sessions.
