OSLO, Norway — Volue, a prominent leader in electrification software, has announced the completion of its executive leadership team and a fundamental reorganization of its business into three specialized units. The move signals a major strategic pivot aimed at helping energy providers navigate the increasingly volatile intersection of data-driven energy systems and global decarbonization.
The restructuring follows the recent appointment of Stephan Sieber as Chief Executive Officer and reflects a conviction that the “electrification era” requires a holistic, rather than fragmented, approach to asset management.
A Tri-Pillar Mandate for a Volatile Market
As energy systems transition toward renewables, they become inherently more complex. On the supply side, the shift toward wind and solar is altering generation patterns; on the demand side, the rise of electric vehicles and shifting industrial patterns are creating unprecedented load volatility. To address these dynamics, Volue has segmented its operations into three distinct business units:
- Commercial Operations: This unit will focus on the financial side of the equation—trading, optimization, and planning. Led by Helmut Spindler, the founder and former CEO of PowerBot (acquired by Volue in 2024), the division is tasked with maximizing asset value and managing market exposure as prices fluctuate.
- Technical Operations: Centered on the physical integrity of the energy system, this unit oversees distribution and asset operations. Daniela Haldy-Sellmann, an industry veteran who joins from SAP where she led global Energy & Natural Resources Industries, will serve as General Manager. Her mandate covers the safe and reliable operation of grid, storage, and generation infrastructure.
- Operations Intelligence: Serving as the connective tissue of the organization, this unit provides the data and forecasting layer necessary for automation. Emilio Marisei, an executive with two decades of experience in digital transformation, will lead the division to ensure predictive optimization across the entire energy value chain.
Strengthening the Executive Core
Beyond the business units, Volue has fortified its C-suite to support global expansion. Natasha Adams joins as Chief Marketing Officer, tasked with driving brand transformation and customer adoption. Eduardo Lazzarotto has been named Chief Product Officer, where he will oversee the company’s product strategy with a specific focus on an AI-driven future.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, CEO Stephan Sieber emphasized that the confluence of electrification and artificial intelligence is creating a “new frontier” for the industry.
“Attracting the right leadership is critical to helping Volue realize this potential,” Sieber said. “By welcoming these leaders, we are reinforcing our commitment to putting customers at the center of the energy transition. Their vision and experience will help our customers unlock the full business value of electrification.“
The Industrial Outlook
The reorganization arrives at a moment when energy companies are under intense pressure to modernize legacy physical assets while integrating digital-first operating models. By aligning commercial decision-making with technical execution and intelligence, Volue is positioning itself as the primary partner for utilities and grid operators who are struggling to maintain stability in a rapidly evolving market.
With its leadership team now complete, the Oslo-based firm appears ready to scale its operations globally, betting that the future of energy belongs to those who can master the data behind the power.
