EV charging specialist CTEK is celebrating further industry recognition as its innovative CC3 EV chargepoint has been named a finalist in the UK’s prestigious E-Mobility Awards 2025. This achievement underscores CTEK’s consistent commitment to excellence in the EV charging sector, arriving just two years after the company clinched the Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Manufacturer of the Year title at the 2023 E-Mobility Awards.
CC3 Recognized for Charging Innovation
This year, CTEK’s CHARGESTORM CONNECTED 3 (CC3) product has earned its place as a finalist in the highly competitive Best Charging Equipment or Service Innovation category. The winners will be announced on July 8th at a high-profile ceremony held at the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire.
Daniel Forsberg, CTEK’s Marketing Manager EVSE, conveyed the company’s excitement about the nomination. “To be recognized as a finalist once again at the E-Mobility Awards is a fantastic validation of our work,” he stated. “It clearly demonstrates that the esteemed award judges are impressed by our ongoing dedication to creating technically superior products that prioritize user-friendliness for both installers and the growing community of EV drivers.“
Building on a Decade of EV Charging Expertise
Forsberg emphasized the CC3’s significance within CTEK’s evolution in the EV charging landscape. “CC3 represents our third major milestone in over a decade of designing and manufacturing EV charging equipment,” he explained. “Our core philosophy has always been to blend innovation with unwavering reliability, and with CC3, we believe we have engineered an EV chargepoint that not only delivers exceptional performance today but is also intelligently future-proofed to embrace the exciting advancements shaping the next era of electric vehicles.“
The CC3 is specifically engineered to meet the demands of locations requiring multiple charging points, such as destination car parks, workplaces, and apartment complexes. Its dual outlets and inherent scalability offer car park owners and charging providers a flexible and efficient solution for installing and expanding their EV charging infrastructure in response to the rapidly increasing market demand.
Future-Forward Technology and Sustainable Design
Technologically advanced, the CC3 supports up to 22kW dual output power delivery and incorporates zero-touch Autocharge charging for a seamless user experience. Notably, it is also primed for bidirectional Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) supply and the anticipated ‘Plug & Charge’ functionality, positioning it at the forefront of future EV charging capabilities and smart grid integration.
Connectivity is a key feature of the CC3, offering robust options via Wi-Fi, dual ethernet ports, and an optional 4G modem. Compliance with OCPP 2.0.1 ensures smooth integration with various charging management platforms. CTEK has also prioritized sustainability and waste reduction in the CC3’s design, incorporating its NANOGRID dynamic load balancing, replaceable components, and a comprehensive five-year warranty, reflecting a commitment to longevity and environmental responsibility.
Designed for Installers and Built to Last
With valuable input from installers during the design process, the CC3 boasts ease of installation and long-term reliability. Its versatile mounting options accommodate both wall and pole installations, with a single 60mm pole capable of supporting two dual-output CC3 chargepoints back-to-back, enabling charging for up to four EVs simultaneously, optimizing space and installation costs.
CTEK’s finalist position in the 2025 E-Mobility Awards follows their recent success at the Electric Vehicle Innovation & Excellence Awards (EVIEs) in November, where they were recognized as Chargepoint Manufacturer of the Year for commercial, industrial, and public charging, with the CC3 also a finalist for Best New Product.
The Sweden-based manufacturer continues to invest strategically in the UK market, recognizing its significant growth potential for EV charge points. This commitment is supported by a dedicated UK-based team providing comprehensive sales, support, technical assistance, and training services.
The 2024 launch of the CC3 represents the culmination of CTEK’s extensive experience in designing and manufacturing award-winning Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) over the past decade. To date, CTEK has sold over 150,000 EV charging devices across the UK, its home market of Sweden, and other European countries, solidifying its position as a key player in the global EV charging landscape.
