Evolt Charging has announced its new status as a certified service provider for Siemens electric vehicle (EV) charging hardware, a move set to bolster maintenance support for both public and private infrastructure across the UK.
Through this collaboration, Evolt’s nationwide engineering team has completed extensive training at the Siemens Power Academy. This certification ensures that Evolt’s technicians are fully equipped to service Siemens charging equipment, maintaining the high standards of safety, reliability, and performance expected from the global technology giant.
Expanding Multi-Brand Support
The announcement represents a strategic expansion of Evolt Charging’s service and maintenance capabilities. While Evolt has long been a market leader in the UK, this partnership allows them to support a broader range of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Siemens is the first in a planned series of manufacturers that Evolt will support, signaling a shift toward a comprehensive, multi-brand support model.
This flexibility is particularly valuable for Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and local authorities who often manage diverse estates featuring hardware from multiple vendors.
Anti-Theft Innovation: The CatStrap
A notable technical highlight of the partnership is the approval of Evolt’s CatStrap – EV Cable Protector. Siemens has tested and confirmed the compatibility of the CatStrap for use with its hardware. This offers a verified solution for anti-cable theft protection—a growing concern for operators across the UK’s fast-growing electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Leadership Perspective
Thomas Macaulay, Service Director at Evolt Charging, commented on the milestone:
“We’re incredibly proud to become a certified servicing provider for Siemens. This collaboration represents an important step in our mission to deliver exceptional service and reliability across the UK’s EV charging networks. Our team has undergone in-depth training with Siemens to ensure we maintain the highest standards of technical excellence at every site we support.”
As the UK moves toward mass EV adoption, the focus of the industry is shifting from pure installation to “uptime.” By investing in technical training and multi-brand resilience, Evolt Charging is positioning itself as a critical partner in ensuring the reliability and consumer confidence required for the energy transition.
