Lynkwell Achieves Q1 Growth, Launches Next-Gen XLynk™ Charger & Appoints COO

SCHENECTADY, NY – Lynkwell, a U.S.-based energy infrastructure provider, announces significant year-over-year growth, demonstrating resilience amidst a dynamic electric vehicle (EV) industry. While many industry leaders face financial challenges or market exits, Lynkwell achieved over 200% year-over-year revenue growth in the first quarter of 2025. This success coincides with the launch of the next generation of its flagship XLynk™ charger and the appointment of Joseph Cahill as the new Chief Operating Officer. Lynkwell’s comprehensive offering, encompassing domestic hardware, software, service, and support capabilities within a single company, positions it to thrive alongside evolving industry demands.

Innovating with the Next-Generation XLynk™

Lynkwell continues to invest in its comprehensive suite of solutions, even as other companies contract. The XLynk™ Level 2 charger stands as Lynkwell’s flagship product. Its first generation, launched in Q3 2024, earned praise from installers and charging site hosts for its performance-focused features. These include being the first and only commercial EV charger with a lifetime warranty. It also boasts an Uptime-Centric Design with an EZ-Swap Faceplate™ for customization and maintenance in less than five minutes. Furthermore, all manufacturing, engineering, software development, network operations, and service teams are located in the United States.

The next generation XLynk™ builds upon this strong foundation with expanded functionality and applications. This charger is Build America, Buy America Compliant, manufactured at Lynkwell’s New York facility, making it ideal for customers prioritizing domestic products and satisfying requirements for many contracts, awards, and incentives. It offers the highest charging speed, future-proofing sites with 80 Amps (19.2kW), which is the maximum for an AC charger. Universality is ensured by physical dip switches, allowing configuration between 12 to 80 Amps for flexibility and energy management based on site infrastructure. Additionally, it is RFID and Tap-to-Pay capable to streamline and control payments across public, private, or fleet applications. Guest charging allows drivers to charge without downloading an app or sharing personal information. Advanced Dynamic Local Load Management maximizes charging speed while controlling infrastructure costs through automatic energy redistribution and additional controls.

Expanding Solutions and Leadership

The XLynk™ product family forms the cornerstone of several new Lynkwell offerings. QuickLynk™ provides an automated solution that significantly cuts onboarding time for new chargers, from hours or days to just minutes. This enables installers to execute more projects and gives charging site hosts greater control over their charger configurations. Another new solution, Lynkwell Upgrade™, offers site hosts a comprehensive and economical package to enhance the entire charging experience for both themselves and their drivers.

To further fortify its executive team and capitalize on its vertical and horizontal integration, Lynkwell has appointed Joseph Cahill as Chief Operating Officer. Joseph brings decades of cross-functional operations, finance, and customer-focused expertise across various verticals. His experience comes at a crucial time when integrating disparate elements of the EV charging value chain proves vital for success. Previously, Joe held executive roles at multiple organizations, including the world-renowned Project Management Institute. He will oversee manufacturing, service, support, and internal operations across Lynkwell’s two New York State facilities. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Saint Joseph’s University and a Master of Business from Villanova University.

By cultivating a comprehensive and integrated suite of solutions, Lynkwell positions itself as a singular partner for any stakeholder aiming to thrive in the EV charging ecosystem.
