Cyntec Debuts Sensing Innovations at Battery Show Europe 2025

Cyntec, a global leader in power magnetics and current sensing solutions, will make its highly anticipated debut at The Battery Show Europe 2025. The event, held in Stuttgart from June 3rd to 5th, will feature Cyntec at Hall 9, Booth D-86. There, the company plans to showcase its latest automotive-grade passive components. These innovations promise enhanced measurement accuracy, improved reliability, and elevated functional safety levels crucial for modern battery applications.

Highlighting Innovations for Enhanced Battery Management:

Cyntec’s booth will feature several key innovations designed to advance battery management unit (BMU) applications:

  • Calibration-Free TCR Busbar Shunt Sensor: This sensor offers excellent measurement accuracy without requiring temperature compensation. This simplification helps reduce development and manufacturing costs, streamlining the overall workflow.
  • ASIL-C/D Functional Safety Shunt Module: Designed to meet rigorous safety standards, this module achieves a system-level sensing accuracy of ±0.1%. It ensures reliable charging and discharging power monitoring, fully complying with the ISO26262 standard for functional safety.
  • Shunt Module with Integrated Pyro Driver: This solution improves short-circuit protection in Battery Disconnect Units (BDU). It boasts an ultra-fast response time of less than 500 microseconds from fault detection to pyro-fuse activation. This integration also reduces system costs by minimizing component count and wiring complexity.
  • 800V/100A SiC-Based E-Fuse for PDU: This advanced e-fuse significantly shortens the cut-off time from 2 milliseconds to a rapid 3 microseconds compared to traditional mechanical relays. It comes as an integrated system, incorporating current sensing and pre-charge functions. Furthermore, it interacts with the Microcontroller Unit (MCU) to report fault conditions and allow for software resets.

Cyntec extends an invitation to automotive engineers, system designers, researchers, and industry media to visit them at Hall 9, Booth D-86. Attendees can experience these latest innovations firsthand, engage in discussions on emerging technical trends, and explore how Cyntec’s advanced component solutions are driving the future of BDU applications.
