Electric Vehicle & Battery Tech Events in Bologna

BolognaFiere is set to become the epicenter for electric vehicle and battery technologies with the upcoming “E-Tech Europe 2025” trade fair and “Battery Day 2025” conference, both organized by A151. E-Tech Europe 2025, the international trade show for battery and electric vehicle production, will take place on April 15-16, following Battery Day 2025 on April 14.

E-Tech Europe 2025, now in its fourth edition, has expanded to encompass a wider range of sectors and conferences, aiming to unite the entire production chain of electric and hybrid vehicles, public transport, machinery, and industrial vehicles. Over 150 exhibitors from 14 countries, including Italy, France, Germany, and the United States, will occupy seven thousand square meters of exhibition space.

Battery Day 2025, the first conference dedicated to the battery industry in Italy, will precede the trade show, featuring contributions from 30 researchers, managers, and professionals.

E-Tech Europe 2025: A Hub for Innovation

The E-Tech Europe 2025 program includes 14 conferences and two workshops, featuring approximately 100 speakers. Topics will range from the electrification of heavy vehicles and battery development and recycling to new automotive components and self-driving car prospects.

The event will also host the third edition of the Automotive Glass Forum, focusing on the latest technologies for automotive glass, and the inaugural “Scrosati Award,” promoted by ENEA. Collective exhibitions by the National Association of the Automotive Industry Supply Chain (ANFIA) and Motor Valley Accelerator will debut at the fair.

New features include an expanded area for high schools and universities showcasing innovative mobility projects, and a dedicated space for seven teams from the “Formula SAE” university engineering competition. Five thematic areas will offer in-depth studies on Carbon Tech, Re-Battery, Invex, Auto Recyclers, and Interiors. The fair will also feature the Fortronic Electronics Forum 2025, Italy’s key event on power electronics, organized by ASSODEL.

Battery Day 2025: Focus on the Italian Battery Industry

Battery Day 2025, held at the BolognaFiere Service Center, will convene key figures in the Italian battery industry. The program will open with speeches by Francesco De Meo, automotive advisor at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, and Antonio Rinaldi, head of the ENEA Laboratory of Technologies and Devices for Electrochemical Accumulation.

Subsequent sessions will explore the history and future of batteries in Italy, featuring speakers from companies such as FAAM, Midac Batteries, and FIAMM Energy Technology. Other sessions will focus on battery packs, startups, and emerging leaders, with participation from companies like eV-Now!, Flash Battery, and Be2Hub. The event will conclude with a session on incentivizing investments in Italy, moderated by Francesco Naso of Motus-E, with invited diplomatic representatives from across Europe.
