Anker SOLIX XE 5kW Bidirectional Home Battery Launches in the UK

LONDON, UKAnker SOLIX, recently recognized as the world’s leading plug-and-play home solar battery storage brand, has officially launched the Anker SOLIX XE in the UK. Unveiled at Solar & Storage Live London 2026, the all-in-one energy solution is designed to help British households maximize solar value and reduce electricity bills through advanced bidirectional technology and AI-driven management.

The Anker SOLIX XE is engineered to meet the demands of modern, high-consumption homes, offering a 5,000W AC output and a 7kWh capacity. Its core features a professional-scale 314Ah energy cell boasting an industry-leading 10,000-cycle life, ensuring long-term reliability for daily solar and off-peak rate cycling.

High Performance for Electrified Homes

The system is built to support the increasing shift toward home electrification. With up to 10kWp solar input and 100% depth of discharge capability, the XE can handle standard household loads alongside high-demand appliances like electric vehicles (EVs) and heat pumps. By storing excess solar energy or drawing from the grid during lower-cost off-peak hours, households can significantly mitigate the impact of peak-hour electricity rates.

The UK is entering a new phase of energy transition, with strong momentum behind smarter homes and clean energy,” said Aaron James Darvill, Strategic Sales Director of Anker SOLIX UK. “With Anker SOLIX XE, we’re making it easier for UK households to benefit from flexible tariffs and prepare for a future shaped by electric vehicles and cleaner, homegrown power.

Smart Management via Anka AI Assistant

Central to the XE experience is the Anker app, powered by Anker Intelligence™. This allows homeowners to monitor real-time consumption and generation while optimizing usage based on predictive analytics. Notably, the system can forecast weather conditions; if limited sunlight is predicted, the XE automatically charges during low-price windows the previous day to ensure the lowest possible energy costs.

The launch also introduces Anka, a new AI Assistant capable of natural language understanding. Users can operate the system via voice control, asking questions about energy forecasting or efficiency decisions to receive instant, accurate responses.

Simplified Installation and Scalability

Anker SOLIX has addressed the historical complexity of home storage installation with a “true all-in-one” design. By utilizing streamlined wiring and an embedded inverter, the company claims an 80% improvement in installation efficiency, making five-minute fast commissioning a reality for professional installers.

For growing energy needs, the system is highly scalable:

  • Capacity: Up to 126kWh for larger households.
  • Output: Up to 15kW AC via three-parallel connections.
  • Backup: Near-instant 10ms UPS whole-home backup when paired with the Anker SOLIX Power Dock Pro.

Expanding the UK Footprint

Following its success in the European balcony storage market, Anker SOLIX is deepening its commitment to the UK. In April 2026, the company joined the Solar Energy UK trade association to collaborate with installers and support the national transition to affordable, decentralized clean energy.

The Anker SOLIX XE represents a major step in the brand’s mission to make sustainable energy independence accessible to every UK household, regardless of their current energy infrastructure.
