WiTricity MR/1 600W: 50% Cheaper Wireless Charger

STUART, FLORIDA — WiTricity AI Tech, a frontrunner in magnetic resonance charging technology, has unveiled the MR/1™ 600W Wireless Charging System. The new addition to the company’s portfolio is specifically engineered to lower the barrier to entry for golf courses, residential communities, and fleet operators by offering the technology at half the cost of its flagship commercial system.

Bridging the Cost Gap

The MR/1 600W system is a strategic expansion of WiTricity’s wireless lineup, designed to complement the existing 900W flagship. While the power output is reduced by approximately one-third, the most significant shift is in the price point. At $1,625.00, the 600W system represents a 50% price reduction compared to the higher-power commercial version.

By optimizing the hardware for smaller fleets and cost-sensitive installations, WiTricity aims to accelerate the transition from manual, plug-in maintenance to fully autonomous “park-and-charge” workflows.

Performance and Fleet Versatility

Despite the lower power output, WiTricity maintains that the MR/1 600W provides sufficient speed for daily golf-cart operations. The system eliminates the traditional “blind spots” of fleet charging:

  • Zero Human Intervention: Carts simply park over the pad to begin energy transfer, removing the risk of forgotten plugs or cable damage.
  • Reduced Maintenance: By eliminating exposed copper contacts and heavy cables, the system is immune to the corrosion and wear typical of coastal golf course environments.
  • Autonomous Compatibility: The hands-free nature of the system makes it a foundation for future autonomous fleet movements within residential and commercial zones.

The MR/1 600W gives customers a clear choice,” said Joe Benz, CEO of WiTricity AI Tech. “For high-duty commercial fleets, the 900-watt system remains the fastest option. For courses and communities that want the benefits of wireless charging at a lower entry cost, the 600-watt system delivers an excellent balance of performance, simplicity, and value.

The Path to Standardization

As the wireless charging market matures, the introduction of varied power tiers signals a shift toward mass-market standardization. The MR/1 600W is compatible with a wide range of current golf carts and light electric vehicles (LEVs), positioning WiTricity as a provider for the growing “micromobility” sector beyond just the fairway.

The system is available for immediate deployment, offering a scalable solution for operators looking to modernize infrastructure without the heavy capital expenditure typically associated with high-power wireless tech.
