This move leverages the brand’s extensive experience in on-road electrification. FPT Industrial is introducing the eBS 37 EVO energy storage solution. They designed this solution specifically for marine applications.
Entering the Marine Electrification Market with a Proven Track Record
This expansion marks a significant step for FPT Industrial. The company has translated its on-road electrification expertise into technologies suitable for the demanding marine environment. AS Labruna, FPT Industrial’s official distributor, has already integrated the eBS 37 EVO into its new HEVOlution 80-37 hybrid generator. This generator is part of AS Labruna’s new HEVOlution product range. It represents a decisive step toward carbon-neutral energy solutions.
FPT Industrial and AS Labruna will showcase the eBS 37 EVO at the NauticSud tradeshow in Naples, Italy, from February 8-16, 2025, at AS Labruna’s booth (Hall 1 – Booth 122).
Leveraging On-Road Expertise for Marine Innovation
Since 2018, FPT Industrial has maintained an ePowertrain department. This department, with hubs in Arbon (Switzerland), Coventry (UK), and Turin (Italy) R&D centers, has developed a range of innovative products. These products are designed for transport sustainability, the energy transition, and CO2 emission reduction. Initially developed for the on-road market, the company is now adapting these technologies for the marine sector.

eBS 37 EVO: Advanced, Circular, and Versatile Battery Technology
The eBS 37 EVO is a modular battery pack. It uses cells and modules with high energy density, reducing battery weight. Key innovations include the eBM 5 Battery Management System by FPT Industrial. A new internal design meets the highest safety standards (ECE R100.3 and ECE R10.6). The eBM 5 increases battery life.
The eBS 37 EVO is “designed for circularity.” FPT Customer Service supports a “4R” approach: Repair (ranging from remote monitoring to in-field activities), Refurbish (in-house with a dedicated area), Repurpose (through dedicated partnerships), and Recycle (active in all eligible territories). Because of this, the eBS 37 EVO can power both full-electric and hybrid applications. This makes it suitable for navigation in marine protected areas.
