DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA — Kempower, a global provider of DC fast-charging solutions, has announced an EV infrastructure expansion project in collaboration with Blink Charging Co., a global owner, operator, and provider of electric vehicle charging equipment and services. The initiative encompasses 14 charging sites in total, with a rollout targeting multiple states along the U.S. East Coast throughout the remainder of 2026.
The hardware deployments will be situated in high-traffic corridors near convenience stores to support drivers’ daily routines. Each location will feature Kempower’s modular Power Units paired with its Satellite fast-charging dispensers. In selecting hardware systems for the expansion, Blink cited the proven field reliability and high uptime metrics of Kempower’s technology as decisive factors.
Operational Training Anchors Multi-State Deployments
A core component of the partnership’s rollout strategy focuses on technical preparation and structured commissioning processes to ensure long-term station performance.
“Reliable charging infrastructure depends on more than the equipment itself. The training we’ve received through Kempower has helped our teams approach installation and commissioning with confidence and consistency,” stated Alex Calnan, Senior VP of Global Business Engineering at Blink. “That foundation shows up in smooth deployments and strong long-term site performance.”
Initial Activations and Geographic Scope
While the primary focus of the 2026 pipeline centers on the East Coast network, two initial locations within the broader partnership framework are already fully operational. These include charging sites at Vasa Fitness in Colorado and an infrastructure deployment in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The Colorado installation went live last month, utilizing an Earth Day promotional campaign that offered free charging sessions and temporary promotional credits to local EV drivers.
Scalable Architecture for Everyday Routines
The utilization of centralized power units linked to individual satellite dispensers allows charging network operators to scale site capacity dynamically as demand grows.
“Kempower technology is designed to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-friendly fast charging, and the new sites with Blink showcase how high-performance infrastructure can seamlessly support drivers’ everyday routines,” noted Jed Routh, Kempower VP of Markets and Products. “There is a lot of exciting work ahead with Blink as we work together to make sustainable transportation more accessible for everyday drivers.”
