Polestar has unveiled the specifications of its first SUV, available with two powers and a large 111 kWh battery.
Polestar waited for its third model to offer an SUV. And as the first official photos suggested, it’s an imposing SUV. The Polestar 3 measures 4.90 meters in length, a size similar to the Volvo XC90. Thanks to its electric base, it benefits from an XXL wheelbase, at 2.99 meters, which suggests a very good habitability. On the other hand, the trunk has a modest capacity in relation to the size, with 484 liters.
The technical sheet unveiled on the Dutch market above all makes it possible to discover what is hidden in the bowels. Two configurations are on the program, both with two electrical blocks. The “classic” model develops 489 hp and a maximum torque of 840 Nm. The Performance version displays 519 hp and a maximum torque of 910 Nm. This goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
Both variants share the same battery. Polestar has gone big, with a capacity of 111 kWh. This gives a range according to the WLTP cycle of 560 km for the Performance and 610 km for the standard version. For charging, it is up to 11 kW in alternating current and up to 250 kW in direct current with the fast terminals
