AVATR Plans European Launch in Norway and Spain in 2027

Chinese premium electric-vehicle brand AVATR plans to enter Europe in 2027, starting in Norway and Spain. The company says the AVATR 06T shooting brake and 07L SUV will be among its first European models, as part of a plan to introduce six models across the region over the next three years.

AVATR announced its European expansion in Paris on October 11, 2026. European pricing, market-specific specifications and exact dealership arrival dates have not yet been disclosed.

Norway and Spain to lead European expansion

The AVATR 06T and 07L are planned for the initial European rollout. AVATR identifies the 06T as a shooting-brake model and the 07L as an SUV. Over the next three years, the company plans to introduce six models across the mid-size SUV, large SUV and shooting-brake segments.

In Norway, AVATR has partnered with automotive importer RSA. The initial plan includes two flagship locations in Oslo and experience centres in other major cities. AVATR says the wider network will draw on RSA’s existing distribution resources.

For Spain and other European markets, AVATR says it is selecting local distributors and partners. The announcement does not name a Spanish distributor or provide details of its planned retail network.

Service network and local support

AVATR says it plans to develop a European service network with local dealers and service partners. Its proposed service approach includes factory training and certification, remote technical support, spare-parts logistics, repairs, roadside assistance, battery inspection and recycling.

The company has not provided a timetable for establishing the service network or named partners outside the RSA agreement in Norway.

Global design and technology partnerships

AVATR says its global business system draws on Changan Automobile’s vehicle manufacturing capabilities, CATL’s battery technology and the intelligent research and development capabilities of a leading ICT company. The European expansion announcement does not name that ICT partner or provide technical specifications for the European models.

AVATR’s Global Design Center is in Munich and works with the company’s Shanghai design centre. The company says designers and engineers from more than 30 countries contribute to its global design network.

At the Paris event, AVATR presented the T09 concept. The company says the concept represents an evolution of its design language and signals a dual-line product-portfolio strategy. It has not announced production timing or technical specifications for the concept.

Global growth targets

AVATR says it is present in 70 countries and regions and has more than 280,000 vehicle owners worldwide. By 2030, it aims to expand to 110 countries and regions, with overseas sales accounting for more than 50% of total sales.

These figures and targets are company-reported. AVATR has not disclosed market-by-market sales figures or a detailed timeline for reaching its 2030 goals.

The European rollout is planned to begin in Norway and Spain in 2027, with the company also working to establish local distribution and service operations.
