ARNHEM, THE NETHERLANDS — EVesto has officially launched Managed Roaming, a new service engineered to reduce operational complexity for charge point operators (CPOs) managing public charging networks.
As roaming connectivity expands across public charging ecosystems, CPOs frequently face compounding overhead from maintaining disjointed roaming agreements, tracking distinct invoicing flows, and managing variable financial settlement processes. EVesto’s Managed Roaming solves this bottleneck by consolidating connectivity, automated invoicing, and financial settlement into a single, cohesive service. By reducing administrative overhead and capturing missed roaming sessions, CPOs can increase per-charge-point revenue without adding operational headcount.
Fully Managed vs. Hybrid Architecture
The newly launched service provides immediate access to established roaming platforms, allowing CPOs to seamlessly accept charging sessions initiated by a wide variety of mobility service providers (MSPs). To accommodate different business models, EVesto is offering the service under two operational setups:
- Managed Roaming: A completely hands-off model where EVesto handles the processing of all roaming sessions, automated invoicing, and total financial settlement.
- Hybrid Roaming: A flexible model that allows CPOs to maintain their primary existing roaming infrastructure while utilizing EVesto to cover smaller, low-volume roaming segments that would otherwise be missed due to limited access. EVesto exclusively manages the invoicing and settlement for those auxiliary sessions.
By deploying this dual-model framework, CPOs can systematically eliminate the need to negotiate and support small, fragmented roaming agreements. This reduces low-volume administrative work while simultaneously capturing incremental roaming revenue and improving the overall charging experience for EV drivers.
Immediate Deployment Capabilities
Managed Roaming is available with immediate effect. It is designed to be deployed directly as an integrated feature within EVesto’s broader, existing charge point management system, removing the need for auxiliary platform integrations.
